India’s Diwali Week Spells Retail Boom
This week India celebrated Diwali which meant great retail business across the nation. Jewellers announced massive discounts, attractive offers and launched festive collections to meet Dhanteras and the pre-wedding jewellery booking mahurat. Indian jewellers noted that the market share of diamond jewellery was growing year-on-year. Notwithstanding, the lab grown diamond market has reported immense growth, especially during the festive season. Laboratory grown diamonds jewellery, according to research firm MVEye currently occupy a market share of 8% - 10% globally. In anticipation of the holiday and wedding season in the US, Zales and Swarovsky among many other brands have launched bridal collections of LGD’s.

Bengaluru-based diamond jewellery manufacturer, Vijay Gems aka Surana Ensemble announced the launch of their B2B website, www.vijaygems.in. The website is designed to address all aspects related to diamond jewellery purchase.
