Diamond business is expanding and the recent deal struck online by Christie’s related to the sale of 24.45-carat diamond pendant for $2 million is proof of this new age business strategy. Money is out there to be spent on diamonds and diamantaires from all over the world are aware of this. The markets around the world are open and doing well.

Export demand in India has increased. Also, Petra Diamonds has sold two special stones from its Cullinan mine in South Africa. Life in the diamond trade is bouncing back like never before. Also look at rare set of books titled: The Bishop Collection: Investigations and Studies in Jade, recently acquired by GIA (Gemological Institute of America).Limited to just 100 copies, the two-volume set catalogs the massive private jade collection of Heber Reginald Bishop (1840-1902), a noted 19th century businessman and philanthropist.

New campaigns are being heralded by NDC, De Beers Forevermark and Tiffany & Co all of which look very promising. As physical shows open up, buyers and sellers get together and transact business like never before. The post Covid19 world is interesting wherein it complements physical and virtual business together. Good times are coming up!
