A Happening Few Weeks
A lot has happened in the last week. Lightbox has sown its seeds to enter the brick-and-mortar space by deciding to retail at Bloomingdale’s and Reeds Jewelers. They are doing this on a trial basis for six months. This should tell us something – the labgrown diamond industry is doing everything it can to reach out to more customers.

On another note, Evgeny Agureev has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of ALROSA. He will continue to lead the USO and oversee the sales unit. And Jean-Marc Lieberherr has decided to move on from Diamond Producers Association and replacing him will be David Kellie, a highly experienced marketer with a track record of success at a range of consumer brands, including 14 years at Ralph Lauren where he held a number of positions, including Corporate Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Advertising.

As the year approaches an end, there are lots of big announcements and movements. We are however, excited about the 3rd edition of Bharat Diamond Week, an exclusive show for polished diamonds which will take place from 14-16 October in Bharat Diamond Bourse. The show will have buyers from different parts of the world and is set to give the SMEs and MSMEs a boost.
