de GRISOGONO announced its support towards the 6th edition of the Only Watch charity auction and is presenting at this auction its New Retro Black Stripes unique timepiece capturing black diamonds, an emblematic creation honouring the past while creating the future.

The event is slated in Geneva on November 7th 2015 and will feature altogether 44 watchmaking brands. de GRISOGONO noted it is proud to support this non-profit organization that strives to transform children’s lives by helping scientific and medical research on neuromuscular diseases in general and Duchenne muscular dystrophy in particular. The company has donated one of its unique pieces of its New Retro collection - a sleek, elegant watch expressing a taste for things that are beautiful in their own right. It is set on the back with four stripes of black diamonds, the New Retro Black Stripes perfectly embodies de GRISOGONO style with deep house-signature black tones.

Around 22 years ago, Fawaz Gruosi, de GRISOGONO’s founder and creative director has raised the hitherto neglected black diamonds as one of the brand’s upmost signature.

Made of clear, simple lines, the New Retro Black Stripes large rectangular case is balanced with gently sensuous rounded angles. A minimalist, uncompromising design that soberly expresses time in a two-handed model. A watch with zero horological complications. Cut-outs at 3 and 9 o’clock create a transparent effect and the impression that both the dial and the movement are suspended in a glass cage. The two curved sapphire crystals are identical and subtly connected by a thin gold band.
