Yoram Dvash notes IDW is key to see Israel’s diamond potential

Yoram Dvash, the newly elected President of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) added much enthusiasm in his positive expression about the International Diamond Week in Israel platform. The event he noted ‘is an important showcase of the Israeli diamond industry and trade's strength and versatility, and has proven to be an excellent platform in bringing diamond traders and buyers from dozens of countries together to trade.’

"Now in its fourth year, this biannual diamond marketing event has proven itself as an excellent opportunity for IDE members, as well as for members of other bourses affiliated to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, to meet on the largest trading floor in the world and successfully trade in diamonds," Dvash noted.

In his role, he mentioned that, "I am committed to developing this 'interbourse' model further, and encourage members from as many as possible bourses worldwide to participate.”.

Dvash, himself mentioned that the event showcases a wide variety of diamonds from Israel that may not be easily seen at the many trade shows in which Israeli companies regularly participate. "A good part of our membership is made up of members who run smaller enterprises and companies that do not venture outside Israel to market their diamonds, mostly larger goods. But at the upcoming Winter Edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel from February 14 to 18, the diamonds these companies manufacture will be available for inspection on the trading floor”.
