World Diamond Congress launches website

The Organizing Committee of the 32nd World Diamond Congress has taken steps in realizing the prestigious event by launching the congress� official website, www.32-diamondcongress.org. The site was officially launched on March 13, 2006. The congress, which is the official forum of the general assemblies of the international diamond sector�s two most important representative organizations, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), will take place June 26-29 in the conference center of the beachfront Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel.

This year�s congress is expected to draw many hundreds of participants. Yair Sahar, the Organizing Committee�s chairman emphasized that beyond the meetings of the various WFDB and IDMA forums, additional business related events were slated. �We�re putting the finishing touch to the organization of a session on financing in the diamond industry, and expect to bring together representatives of the leading international banks involved in our industry for a seminar. It is not often that such an opportunity comes along,� he stated.

�However, the launching of the site comes at the moment most of the pieces of this puzzle are well in place,� he said. �Therefore, visitors to the site can register online for the congress, book their hotels and register for the accompanying person�s tours. Of course, the tentative agenda of the WFDB-IDMA meetings and events can also be consulted online. Naturally, we are keeping the major social events still under wraps as they promise to be both surprising and refreshing.�
