The dates for the opening of the World Jewelry Center (WJC) have been extended from the year-end 2010 to 2011, although the project is being executed according to plans. WJC Managing Director Bill Boyajian says that WJC has received the Planning Commission approvals and is expecting the Las Vegas City Council approvals, soon.
The time extension was required as the WJC is being built as a part of the mega planned Union Park
Boyajian mentioned that the WJC management estimates to being work by first half of 2009, when all entitlements and construction documents have been acquired. This brings about an estimated construction time period of 28 to 30 months, thus the timeline for 2011.
