Voila launches Desi Wooman collection

A new collection of timepieces inspired by celestial maidens (Apsaras) draped in the Indian Tricolor is the latest offering from Voila on the occassion of India's Independence Day.

The collection is called Desi Wooman. Roger Khemlani founder and creative director takes the backdrop of India's rich cultural heritage seen through the caves depicting art thrpugh ancient carvings of Apsaras. He notes that, "Despite these rich values and culture in recent years, abuse against Indian women has escalated to such an extent that India has become the fourth most dangerous country in the world for women and worst amongst the G20 countries. Its time Indians from all walks of life learn to respect and appreciate the beaury in women and through my Desi Wooman, I bri.g this message on the 67th Independence Day of India, 15th August."
