VICENZAORO January to launch global trade show calendar

VICENZAORO January, the exhibition platform for the international goldsmith and jewellery sector, is set to launch the international trade fair calendar year, consolidating its role as a touchstone for high-end merchandise. It expects participation of over 1,500 brands from 30 countries, and over thousands of international buyers, journalists, opinion makers and trendsetters visiting.

The theme of the Show’s 2015 edition is “The Future. Now.”, designed to feature new ideas and products, international initiatives and events, beginning with the opening ceremony. It is slatd between January 23-28th. This VICENZAORO January, Fiera di Vicenza is introducing its VICENZAORO The Boutique Show format.

The show is a result of in-depth research, analysing developments in global jewellery production and distribution. This revolutionary exhibition format involves an innovative reorganisation of the product categories, thus creating homogeneous communities of companies with corresponding terms of reference, market position, types of production, distribution systems and overall image. It is crafted to meet the dynamic requirements and demands of the international jewellery sector. Under the new format, the trade show has been divided into six districts (ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE and EVOLUTION), providing a complete view of the products on offer, and trends. It is an approach that optimises and simplifies the trade show experience.

Four Trend Forums, located on the Promenade of Pavilion 1, are part of VICENZAORO’S high-impact exhibition formula. This year, visitors can for the first time view consumer profiles, style and products directions, and forecasts relative to the trends, influential to the design, production and distribution of contemporary jewellery. These are also featured collectively in the TRENDBOOK 2016+. The TRENDVISION JEWELLERY+FORECASTING seminar is slated for January 24. Upholding its importance to ethics and corporate social responsibility, Fiera di Vicenza will explore the subject in workshop a - “Social Responsibility as the New Reality: Best Practice Initiatives, Tools and Business Success.” It is being organised by CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, and by Fiera di Vicenza, on January 25th. Museo del Gioiello (Jewellery Museum), opened its doors in Vicenza on December 24th and is a permanent museum in the Basilica Palladiana in the city centre. A Fiera di Vicenza project, in partnership with the Municipality of Vicenza, comprises nine exhibition halls including collections of approximately 400 pieces of jewellery. It is the first museum in Italy, dedicated to jewellery.

Having signed a MOU with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), Fiera di Vicenza will host the first edition of VICENZAORO Dubai between April 23-26, 2015, and visitors to VICENZAORO January will be provided with previews and market insights to Dubai’s leading position.

During VICENZAORO January will highlight something for women, following the confirmation of a partnership between Fiera di Vicenza and the Women’s Jewellery Association of Italy, the country’s main women’s organisation in the sector.

VICENZAORO January will be an interactive experience with a new app, providing visitors with an easier, more dynamic experience. The international salon dedicated to machinery and technology for gold and jewellery production, T-GOLD, will be held for the 38th time, with 127 companies exhibiting. It is located in the EVOLUTION section, within the framework of the new VICENZAORO The Boutique Show format.

New technologies and trends in gold jewellery production will be explored during the 11th edition of the Jewellery Technology Forum (JTF), created by the Legor Group S.p.A. The conference was developed in collaboration with Fiera di Vicenza. On January 25th, Federpreziosi Confcommercio, Assocoral and Fiera di Vicenza, together with Assorologi, will analyse the consumption of jewellery and watches in the Italian market, during a seminar entitled “Crisis under scrutiny: a discussion with members the jewellery trade. Coral will be highlighted at VICENZAORO January in an exhibition entitled “Timeless Seduction.
