Third Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair is preponed

Based on eager requests by exhibitors and buyers to schedule the third Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair earlier than decided, the organizers have announced the dates, which would be from January 29-31, 2012. Previous dates were suggested based on the show dates of other major international events, to ensure more jewellery retailers to be part of the Antwerp fair. Ari Epstein, CEO of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, the main sponsor of the fair, said, "By bringing retail jewellers and leading jewellery designers to the heart of the diamond district, giving them a great sampling of what Antwerp has to offer. Therefore, we will need to increase our efforts to bring those jewelers - from Europe and beyond - to Antwerp who have not yet visited our centre and therefore not yet fully understood its power and potential”.

The fair has been well received over its past two editions. At the time of its second edition held between January 30 - February 1 around 60 Antwerp diamond firms exhibited, and around 300 representatives of about 200 companies participated in this-invitation-only event.
