Tamira Set to Create Magic

Buy four half bangles and you have six unique designs; buy nine halves and have 36, buy 50 (approximately equal to a kilo of gold), and presto, you have an amazing 1,225 designs to adorn your hands. Sounds like magic, no doubt, but actually its only Tamira, which, not coincidentally is the Sanskrit word for magic!

This new brand of magical, modular bangles was unveiled by Varuna D. Jani, the designer behind the concept and Dharmesh Sodah, CEO of Tamira Jewels, which has been entrusted with the global marketing and sales rights, at a special event at the IIJS on Thursday.

Tamira Jewels will be offering an entire range of ‘half-bangles’ in 22k gold embellished with CZZ. The concept has been patented in 197 countries.

It offers jewellery retailers greater flexibility in managing theur inventory, for with just 50 half bangles, they can offer their customers thousands of unique design options. For the consumer, the magic is even greater – they can now design their own bangle by selecting the halves they like; and later can multiply their collection by investing in just another half bangle!

The two interlocking halves are crafted with precision to ensure that they form a perfect whole, and there is the additional safety of two tiny locking clasps.

Says Varuna D. Jani, “My dream is to see every Indian woman adorned with bangles, and I believe Tamira will make this possible. It provides a perfect blend of value, versatility and quality.”

Speaking to Diamond World IIJS Daily, Sodah revealed that each half bangle will have about 20-25 gms of gold, and will have an attractive B2B pricing structure. “We want to make it affordable to a wide cross section of women,” he said, adding that Tamira is looking at having about 55 distributors and being available at nearly 2,000 retail outlets in the next two to three years.”
