Swarovski plans adding new stores

Swarovski is planning an expansion. In 2009, the retailer had expanded its base opening 15 new stores in the United Kingdom. This year it intends adding five more. Presently the retailer has 54 outlets, including 31 concessions, reports say.

To add something new for the year 2010, the retailer is looking at remaking its portfolio into its global "white" store concept, which it showcased for the first time at its Regent Street shop. According to reports, the retailer believes that although consumers are looking for pocket-friendly shopping, the luxury market continues to have its takers. The retailer has announced a 9 percent increase in its like-for-likes sales for the year 2009, reports say.
