Sotheby's is also featuring a pear-shaped, 29.53 carat, D diamond ring set in platinum mounting, amongst other jewels at its Important Jewels sale in New York. The diamond in the ring is known to be internally flawless, a rare Type IIa stone and has two heart-shaped stones of 1.35 and 1.51 carats, respectively, adjacent to it in the ring. The ring carries a presales estimate of $1.8 million to $2.2 million.

The ring is part of a New York estate collection including jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co., David Webb and Bulgari.

The ring will exhibit at Sotheby's Hong Kong show, a public exhibition in New York, and finally the Important Jewels auction slated on October 19, 2009.
