Sotheby’s sale in Geneva churns revenues of US$ 136,428,215

At its Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels in Geneva, Sotheby’s achieved a total of US$ 136,428,215. A Fancy Intense Pink diamond ring weighing 17.07 carats was the top lot that sold for US$ 20,778,352 (US$ 1,217,244 per carat) to Graff Diamonds.

The ‘The Sky Blue Diamond’, a Fancy Vivid Blue diamond weighing 8.01 carats by Cartier sold for US$ 17,074,168.

Some jewels set an auction record including - a Fancy Deep Blue diamond ring weighing 7.74 carats setting an auction record for a Fancy Deep Blue diamond, as it sold for US$ 13,706,728; a Fancy Light Pink diamond ring weighing 40.30 carats went down the hammer for US$ 7,533,088 also setting an auction record for a fancy light pink diamond; a Fancy light blue diamond ring weighing 16.08 carats selling for US$ 2,167,634 and setting an auction record for a fancy light blue diamond.

Among the other notable jewels sold included a Fancy intense pink diamond ring weighing 13.20 carats that went down the hammer for US$ 16,232,308, superb ruby and diamond ring weighing 8.37 carats by Cartier sold for US$ 4,277,896; a Fancy Intense Pink diamond ring weighing 8.73 carats sold for US$ 4,277,896; a Fancy Vivid Blue diamond ring weighing 2.31 carats sold for US$ 2,886,021 while a Pair of diamond earrings weighing 14.33 and 15.06 carats sold for US$ 2,227,499.
