Seminar on “New Realities New Opportunities” planned on sidelines of Presidents’ Meeting 2017

“New Realities New Opportunities” is the title of a seminar to unfold on the sidelines of the Presidents’ Meeting 2017 in Mumbai, reports say. The seminar will be held over two business sessions, and Varda Shine, former CEO of De Beers’ Diamond Trading Company (DTC), and currently Diamond and Mining Industry Consultant is to chair the first business session – “Emerging Opportunities in Diamond Finance”, reports add. The session will also involve many dignified personalities as speakers. A panel discussion is also to take place and will be chaired by Shine on the subject.

The second business session is focused on – “Financing Small & Medium Companies in India”. It too will see leading personalities present views and opinions, after which a panel discussion is to take place which will be conducted by Lata Venkatesh, as per reports.

The seminar is scheduled for February 6, 2017, prior to the formal sessions of the Meeting. It will be organised by the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) and The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), who are also hosting the Presidents’ Meeting.

The Presidents’ Meeting is the biennial event of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA).
