Seamless Education Academy (SeamEdu) welcomed Dr. Jayshree Panjikar as the Chief Mentor & Strategic Advisor to its Institute of Gem & Jewellery. Besides the curriculum of gemology, the Institute also has a sister concern in the jewellery business, namely - P.N. Gadgil Jewellers. Dr. Panjikar carries with her a 30 year teaching experience at the Gemmological Institute of India Mumbai, where she worked as the Head of R & D dept and Chief Gemmologist for the Gem Testing and Diamond Grading Laboratory. She won international fame as an authority on Gemology and is the first Indian lady to complete her doctoral thesis on gemstones at the Heidelberg University in Germany.

Her accomplishments also include being Director of Pangem Testing Laboratory, Pune, founder member for the Forum of Indian Gemologists for Scientific studies and President of Jewelery Designers Association.

A month ago, the Institute of Gem & Jewellery launched its diploma course “Professional Gemmologist” as regular and distant learning courses. Dr. Panjikar is the mentor of the course. Students would be taken through three phases of learning in the course, understanding basic to advanced gemmology, diamond grading and undertake a study tour to Bangkok. The course includes a panel of top international gemmolgists from USA, Switzerland, Italy, Singapore, Germany, Japan, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

Apart from Gemology, SeamEdu also delivers education in Animation, Media and Radio Jockeying. It has other strategic advisors like Padmabhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar Member of the Advisory Council to the PM, Dr. Kiran Karnik former President of NASSCOM and Dr. Ganesh Natarajan of Zensar Technologies and former CEO of APTECH.
