Sarin Technologies Ltd is launching its light performance system, the Sarin D-Light™, at the Hong Kong Jewellery Show, which is slated etwee 19th to 23rd Septemer 2011. Sarin’s D-Light™ quantifies a polished diamond’s appearance by accurately measuring its light performance characteristics –brilliance - how much white light is reflected;fire - how much light is broken into colored bursts of light;sparkle - how intense are the diamond’s sudden flashes of light; light symmetry - how symmetric is the play of light returned from the diamond.

The Sarin D-Light™ is expected to eefit the diamond industry through: optimising light performance of diamonds and thereby enabling manufacturers to further increase the quality of their polished diamonds; further differentiating between diamonds based on their light performance in addition to the classical 4C’s grading; enhancing the consumer shopping experience and allowing the retailer to engage the customer in a unique, exciting and memorable experience; enabling customers to observe a diamond's visual appeal vividly on screen, enabling them to make a better purchase according to their preferences.
