Sarin Technologies and AGLS join hands for a research programme

Sarin Technologies Ltd. and American Gem Society Laboratory ("AGSL") have decided to collaborate for a research program that would develop an automatic Symmetry grading methodology based on measurements of the polished diamond’s properties, as provided by Sarin’s DiaMension™ HD. Also, AGSL plans to replace its previous generation DiaMension™ systems with the The DiaMension™ HD, having evaluated it based in its superior performance in 3D modeling of polished diamonds. Sarin had introduced in 2009.

The systems will initially be applied for cut grading and after the symmetry grading research and development is complete, their applications will be taken further by AGSL for its automatic symmetry grading, which the lab will also offer to Sarin's customers for their polished stones evaluation.

Uzi Levami, Chief Executive Officer of Sarin, commented, “The joint research on automatic Symmetry grading will create new technology based on accurately measured data for the computerised, objective and repeatable automation of a facet of the industry that to date was performed solely by human subjective observation.” He further added “Yet again, Sarin is leading the way forward, with AGSL, to provide the industry with better cost-effective solutions to complex issues. We are confident the joint project will well serve the industry and provide the consumer with more objective means to assess the polished diamonds being offered for sale.”
