River Diamonds proposes name change

River Diamonds is about to host one of its key annual general meetings on 15 August 2008, as the agenda is focused on a proposed name change and election of three new directors. The shareholders will be placing their votes for or against a anme cgange from River diamonds to Vatukoula Gold Mines Plc. This name is already adopted by its fiji operations, which is known now as Vatukoula Gold Mines Limited.

The other moot voting will be for re-electing director (company chairman) Ian Colin Orr-Ewing and director David Anthony Lenigas; along with the election of three new directors Donald Ian George Layman Strang, Neil Lindsey Herbert and John Ian Stalker.

River Diamonds operates in Sierra Leone, Brazil, and Fiji.
