Rapaport, which recently concluded its diamond auction on November 29, said that it was satisfied with the sale of 16 out of the 39 lots offered at the auction. Rapaport earned a total of $104,814.
The 16 lots ranged between 1.01- to 1.24 carats, and sold for an amount which was up to 31% below the Rapaport price list. The top-selling lot which was a D-colour, VVS1 clarity stone weighing 1.06 carats, sold for $12,000 ($11,320 per carat), at 13.6% below Rap. Also, Rapaport had offered to sell six lots free of any reserves, which sold successfully, at prices between 25% to 31% below Rap sheet.
