Rajesh Exports is planning infrastructure development

Rajesh Exports is planning to expand its portfolio of jewellery manufacturing and exports to now include infrastructure development. The company plans investing Rs 36,000 crore over five years in developing a 2,000-acre integrated township and “affordable” housing project in Bangalore, Karnataka, offering 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments of sizes between 600-1,800 sq feet and value between Rs 8-35 lakhs.

For its housing project, the company is in talks with realtors in the city. The township is also planned with an IT park, business centre, hospitals, schools and offices.

The company is also planning to develop a 100-acre jewellery park with an investment of Rs 500 crore. The jewellery park is expected to house 80-100 gold and diamond jewellery manufacturing units. It is likely to come up in 24 months close to the Bangalore International Airport.
