Prince Jewellery unfolds Ancient Secrets 2015

Prince Jewellery a brand renowned for its jewellery design forte for over 80 years is organising the 2015 edition of its Ancient Secrets event, reviving interest in antique jewellery. This year the event will unfold at the jeweller’s Cathedral Road showroom from July 3-19, celebrating antique jewellery from the world over.

Ornaments for the head – the Kalgi worn by men in their turban, rakodi and chutti, worn by women, ear and neckpieces, waist belts, bangles and bracelets, from India and abroad, the collection speaks of authenticity, intricacy and elegance. The unique attribute of Ancient Secrets also lies in the novel designs Prince has introduced embedding these traditional pieces into tasteful modern settings to suit the tastes of young and older jewellery lovers alike.

“One must have an eye for design to be able to reset traditional pieces in modern designs,” points out Princeson Jose, Founder, Prince Jewellery. He personally suggests and supervises the designs guided by his years of experience and intuitive knowledge.

Prince Jewellery was initiated by Princeson Jose in 1983, but the roots trace back to his grandfather who began a business in jewellery retail in a very humble way. The generations that came took over the business, expanding it with a showroom first in Chennai, and soon after, a manufacturing unit in Trishur, which led to their establishing a wholesale business in gold. This led to the third-generation jeweller, Princeson Jose and his wife adding to the repute of the business, along with elements including ‘Ancient Secrets’.
