Petra discovers a 507.55 carat white diamond

Reports state that Petra Diamonds Limited mined a 507.55 carat white diamond from the Cullinan mine in South Africa, on 24 September, 2009. The diamond has been handed over to experts for its analysis. So far, the pre-analysis reports state that the diamond has exceptional colour and clarity, and could probably be the Type II stone.

The company believes that the diamond would deliver extraordinary potential in its polished form.
