The renovated temple is bigger in size to accommodate many more devotees, who earlier had to leave the vicinity and travel to various parts of the city for Ganesh darshan.
This initiative of building the temple is a part of PNG Jewellers relentless commitment to give back to the society.
Shri Dajikaka Gadgil-Founder, PNG Jewellers in Pune, had been instrumental in taking the brand ahead. He was closely associated with philanthropic work, having been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Bombay Bullion Association for his contributions in trade and industry.
The sanctification ceremony of the temple was organized on the occasion of Ganesh Jayanti and was attended by Mr. Saurabh Gadgil, Mr. Parag Gadgil and other family members of the Gadgil clan. Members of the Colony were present to witness the ceremony.
Mr. Saurabh Gadgil CMD PNG Jewellers said, “Dajikaka has always been a source of inspiration, and a role model. He strongly believed in philanthropy, we have initiated a lot of associations under his name, however this is the first time we have successfully built a temple which is called Dajikaka Gadgil Ganesh Mandir.”
