PC Jeweller aims for expansion with 200 new stores

PC Jeweller, a leading jewellery retail brand, plans to increase its footprint, on a big scale, and also enhance its brand offerings, ahead, reports say. It plans to invest around Rs 1,500 crore towards opening new outlets, adding 100 stores to its existing 50 company-owned outlets, and 100 stores on a franchisee model in tier III and tier IV towns by 2019, as per reports. The company is looking at entering into the franchising model in the next fiscal.

Investment in the expansion will be drawn from internal accruals.

As part of its brand strategy, it will also introduce a new sub brand in every 3-4 months, including a new collection under its existing detachable jewellery 'Flexia' brand and a new brand in April, reports add. Backed by positive expectations from the budget, the company is looking at a growth of 20 percent in its turnover by next fiscal, reports add.
