P N Gadgil celebrates centenary year of ‘Late Shri Dajikaka Gadgil’

P. N. Gadgil Jewellers recently celebrated the centenary year of ‘Late Shri Dajikaka Gadgil’ with various events spread out across the day to mark the majestic celebrations.

As a part of the celebration, launch of late Shri Dajikaka Gadgil museum inaugurated by Mayor Chanchalatai Kodre, Shashitai Kirloskar and Vasant Davkhare, Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Council followed by Madhuri Dixit Nene’s visit to the Laxmi road store where their Mangalsutra mohotsav winners received their gifts and Dajikaka’s life journey’s book was launched along with loyalty cards for regular customers.

This apart, Think Pure Awards ceremony was held at Ganesh Krida Kala Manch where S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis Society, Krishhna Patil, second youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest at an age of 19, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Tabla Maestro, Satish Magar, Vice President, CREDAI were presented by the prestigious awards.

Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Tabla Maestro, appreciated the award by saying, “I can relate well with P. N. Gadgil Jewellers Pvt Ltd having common art backgrounds, as jewellery too is an art like that of playing a tabla, I am grateful to them for considering me for his award.”

Mr. Parag Gadgil or Parag Kaka, Partner, P. N. Gadgil Jewellers Pvt Ltd as he is fondly called has been a fount of knowledge and inspiration on the shop floor, an engineer by profession he has steered the retail ship for over three decades. At the Laxmi Road store event, he said, “We are tremendously glad to do what we are doing today and with the way Dajikak’s centenary birthday celebrations have turned out. We assure to take Dajikaka’s blessings forward.”

On this occasion Madhuri Dixit Nene said, “I have a long association with P.N. Gadgil Jewellers and I am glad to be present with them. I miss Dajikaka Gadgil and my father too. Their generation was totally different. They believed in honesty and the Gadgil’s have followed the legacy and will be followed forever. He was a legend and icon. Dajikaka have seen so much in life and we have not experienced half of it. Like my dad I will always carry him in my heart."

On this occasion Saurabh Gadgil, Managing Director, P. N. Gadgil Jewellers, said “The activities for this were organized to pay an ode to DajiKaka. The museum has a lot of articles depicting DajiKaka’s memories, had he been amongst us today, he would have been very happy.”

Post the awards ceremony Sonu Nigam enthralled the audience by his singing.
