ODC to host diamond viewings at IDTC

Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) announced diamond viewings it would host at India Diamond Trading Centre (IDTC). The viewings are slated from 20th to 25th July 2016 for GJEPC and BDB members.

The goods being shown at the IDTC will predominantly be a selection of the -2 carats size ranges to be offered for sale at ODCs July online auction on July 28th 2016. The viewings in India will take place in parallel to those in Gaborone, Botswana. The viewing appointments at the IDTC will be available to any GJEPC and BDB members who have completed ODC’s registration process.

GJEPC Chairman Praveenshankar Pandya said, “The endeavour is to make the rough diamonds available for small scale manufacturers here, and we appreciate the miners who have been showing interest and bringing their diamonds to India for display. I am sure ODC would appreciate the world class facility offered at IDTC and would also schedule its future viewing sessions with ITDC for our members”.

Toby Frears, Managing Director of ODC commented “We are delighted to be able to showcase ODC and Botswana’s diamonds in India and are grateful to the IDTC for presenting us with this opportunity. We recognise the importance of the Indian industry to ODC and we look forward to exposing new customers to the ODC brand and to promoting Botswana as a leading rough sourcing destination”.

Representatives from ODC will be in Mumbai on 14th March to meet those interested in becoming an ODC customer and to address queries regarding ODC’s sales or registration process. The ODC team will be based at the BDB Trading Hall in H Tower.
