New marketing manager appointed for IGI Dubai

International Gemological Institute has appointed Mr. Giacomo La Manna as marketing manager of IGI Dubai. Mr. Nico D’ Haemer, managing director IGI Dubai said, “As we continue to grow in this market, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Giacomo, who brings considerable expertise and also shares the IGI vision of creating awareness for quality, amongst retailers and consumers. Dubai is emerging as a key market for certification as well as education, with immense opportunities. I am confident that Mr. Giacomo will add value to our client’s businesses, thereby benefiting IGI and the industry as a whole.”

Mr. Giacomo will play the role of leading client relationship building, expansion and business development for IGI in Dubai and the brand's image across the Middle East region. His focus will be to lead marketing and promotional activities, as well as develop additional strategies to assist in the company's continued growth in Dubai.

To support his work at IGI Dubai, Mr. Giacomo has visited IGI offices across the globe to gain insight into brand IGI and its overall vision. He has familiarized himself with disciplines such as Grading, Marketing & Sales and Public Relations.

Originally from Sicily, Italy; he has graduated in Philosophy and communication theories and Masters in Advertising and Journalism.
