NCDIA appoints Barbara Wheat new executive vice president

Barbara Wheat, who previously served as executive director of the International Colored Gemstone Association and as adviser on international relations for the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, among other positions during her nearly 25 years in the diamond, gem and jewelry industry, has been appointed by Natural Color Diamond Association as its executive vice president.

NCDIA president Jordan Fine feelS that the choice is perfectly right as Barbara is well known around the world by trade associations, government entities, miners, suppliers, manufacturers and retailers. Moreover, Barbara will be able to assist at all levels of the supply chain, from mine to market. She is also uniquely qualified to address sustainability issues and corporate social responsibility for the NCDIA.
