Mumbai's jewellery retailers to play at Nyuzmakers Cricket Challenge

In a bid to enhance networking within the retail jewellery industry in Mumbai, NYUZ - a company that is into the 4C’s of Jewellery Retail Services which cover Coaching, Consultancy, Creative Retail Services & Concepts and Creations, is organising an event NYUZMAKERS CRICKET CHALLENGE. This is an underarm Cricket Tournament for Jewellery Retailers of Mumbai, and is slated between 31st January 2011 to 5th February 2011.

There are 16 jewellery teams playing in the game, at the Khar Gymkhana and from 7pm to 10 pm under floodlights. The game is an underarm cricket tournament played with softball in a box format. Each team will have 9 members of which 2 will be women.

Navin Sadarangani, proprietor of NYUZ, and Chief Organizer of this tourney said “The retail jewellery industry is devoid of any real fun activity and togetherness at the grass root level. Retail is long hours and can get tedious for both the Employer and the Employees. This is a welcome break.”

Jewellery Retailers who are participating include brands like Aspen, Gili, Cygnus, retailers Antara Jewellery, Begani Jewels, Gehna Jewellers, Mahesh Notandass, Manubhai Jewellers amongst others. The event is already garnering some positive feedback from the industry - Sunil Datwani (Gehna Jewellers) says, “I’ve always believed in the power of teams to build strong entities.
