Mumbai Jewellery & Gems Fair (MJGF) to debut in December

The Mumbai Jewellery & Gems Fair (MJGF), the debut edition of this B2B trade event for the gem and jewellery industry, is slated for December 9th to 11th, 2011. Its organizers UBM India have positioned the Mumbai fair during the prime buying season in India, which begins October and extends until January 2012. This season witnesses the buyers stocking up for the next entire year!

The event is expected to host over 300 exhibitors and attract 8000-10,000 visitors. “The Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair will be a comprehensive B2B jewellery event providing gemstone and jewellery manufacturers an invaluable opportunity to meet potential customers and gather primary market intelligence,” Sanjeev Khaira, MD of UBM India Pvt. Ltd said.

The trade show will feature dedicated international pavilions representing companies from Belgium, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand, renowned international designer brand names such Karp, Liliy Diamonds, HV Jewels, Prism Dia, Venus Dewels, Brilliant Gems, Creative Gems and Jewellery, Leo Schachter etc. as well as domestic designer brand names like Krizz, Gitanjali, Sheetal Manufacturing, Anopchand Trilokchand Jewellers, Mahima Gems, H Deepak & Co. Rajendrakumar & Co., Sangam Chains, Royal Chains, Raniwala, HariKrishna Exports, V chains, Diagold, Ketan Brothers and many more.

Leading industry associations such as the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) and the Mumbai Wholesale Gold Jewelers Association have extended their support to UBM’s Mumbai event. MJGF will also be presenting the IJ Choice Design Awards, which will highlight and award the best designed jewellery in India from in a variety of categories. The leading jewellery retailers in the country will vote for entries submitted by top manufacturers, and showcased by professional models.

The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) is a Summit Partner to the show with GIA being the Knowledge Partner. GJF will be conducting workshop series for retailers and buyers who will be visiting the fair.
