The event was a success in both knowledge sharing by Mr. Baron about changes in the industry and goals of getting younger generations involvement in the world of the diamond business. Many topics were discussed, primarily with the focus on both modern technology and social media and the transformations they are having on our industry.
Mr. Baron spoke often with a theme of “where are we going as an industry?" Of course he focused on the involvement of the young diamantires leaving the next generation of ideas passion and inspiration to the jewelry and diamonds business. He also encouraged his audience that there are "amazing opportunities and with the creation of an eco-system here in Los Angeles” it will drive people towards the jewelry industry and successful business.
He opened the discussion to questions from the guests and shared his knowledge on many other trade topics. The following morning Mr. Baron was greeted by the Board of Directors of the DCWC for a breakfast to further discuss the workings of the trade and the DCWC’s opening up a channel with directly communicating with the members from the DDC Australia. The sharing of ideas can and will benefit both Clubs; a start to further encourage business worldwide.
