Mr. Govind Dholakia awarded AMA-Atlas Dyechem Award for “Outstanding Entrepreneur” 2013

Mr. Govind Dholakia, Founder & Chairman, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd, received the AMA-Atlas Dyechem Award for “Outstanding Entrepreneur” of the year 2013, at the hands of Mr. R.C. Bhargava (Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.), recently.

The award platform is conceived by the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). AMA - the promoters and founder-members of All India Management Association (AIMA), has been charting new routes of excellence in the field of management since 1956 under the inspiring leadership of late Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai (The Father of the Indian space program and promoter of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) as well as Pioneer of IIM-A, India’s most prominent B-School). AMA-Atlas Dyechem Award for “Outstanding Entrepreneur” Sponsored by the Atlas Group is awarded to encourage entrepreneurs who contribute in boosting the economy of the State through entrepreneurship.

The Independent selection committees selected Mr. Govind Dholakia on criteria including clarity of vision, market opportunity, profitability and financial feasibility, and management capability.

Mr. Govind Dholakia’s vision and perseverance over the last five decades has seen Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. expand to a global dimaond company with an annual revenue of $ 850 million. Mr. Dholakia emphasized that, to be a business leader requires belief in the power of people and to imbibe humility. He added “My biggest strength has been the large pool of talented people within the company.

Through his work and personality Mr. Govind Dholakia has influenced many. His entrepreneurial quality has surpassed beyond the industry periphery as his social entrepreneurial skill stands documented in the IIM-A syllabus as a case study. He has also addressed 140 scientists of ISRO on the topic “Entrepreneurship: - Wonders of Traditional Wisdom.”
