Lucara plans second Exceptional Stone Tender

Lucara Diamond Corp is bringing 16 lots of diamonds from its Karowe mine in Botswana, as part of its second ‘Exceptional Stone Tender’. The sale is slated on 16th July reports say.

The diamonds in the offering vary between 30.69 carats to 258.69 carats, the largest in the tender. Also, five of the 16 lots weigh over 109 carats each, reports say.

The company aims to sell around 420,000 carats a year from Karowe, reports add. In its first Exceptional Stone Tender of 2014, the company sold all 20 single stone lots of 1,191 carats in total, being offered. Tender viewings for the second tender is slated in Antwerp from July 3-10 and in Gaborone from July 14-16.
