Lucapa recovers three additional special diamonds at Lulo

Recoveries at Lucapa Diamond Company’s Lulo mine in Angola have yielded three special diamonds, as per reports. Of the three diamonds, one is of 88 carats and the other of 30 carats, both being high-color white Type II-a diamonds.

The recovery of the three stones marks the continued discovery of special diamonds from the said mine. So far, Lucapa had recovered 10 diamonds of over 10.8 carats from E46 from the time trial mining began in March in the area, and the addition of the recent three makes it to 13 diamonds. Two of the 10 diamonds were over 50 carats. Also, according to the company, over 30 percent of the diamonds of more than 1 carat discovered at E46 are Type II-a diamonds. Lucapa’s recent recovery included an intense-fancy 0.2-carat pink diamond, as per reports.
