LUXURY 2012 unfolds

LUXURY 2012 opened today with a 3-day preview event for invited retailers. The show is JCK Events' high-end offering during JCK's Las Vegas Jewelry Week. The show is being held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center and features over 230 upscale brands, including those exhibiting at Elite Enclave, a specialty niche of the show.

The preview was attended by invited members of the media and LUXURY retailers were treated to various amenities and luxury services. In addition, show-goers got an experience of the stylized environment of Elite Enclave, redesigned in its second year as an African Safari encampment, complete with the specific sights, scents and sounds of that theme.

With regard to the jewelry, even on Day 1, LUXURY's preview inspired commentary about the definitive trends emerging booth after booth.

In addition, colored stones with darkly hued diamond accents and warm golds (yellow or rose) were visible in designs from LeVian, Sophia by Design and newcomer Ponte Vecchio Gioielli. Imperial glamour featured prominently from Ivanka Trump Fine Jewels Fan earrings to Goshwara's tassel pendant. Brightly colored enamel (Cassis), as well as neutral (Nouvelle Bague), to dark south sea pearls including those from Baggins and Porrati were also on display.
