Kimberley sells diamonds worth $3.92 million

Kimberley Diamonds Ltd. recently announced that it has achieved the highest price per carat for its rough diamonds since taking ownership of its Ellendale mine. The Company sold 18,903 carats of rough diamonds through an online trading system. The overall price achieved at a recent auction reached $207 per carat.

The company noted that the auction resulted in a total sale of $3.92 million.

Alex Alexander, Chairman of Kimberley Diamonds stated that the demand for the Ellendale rough diamonds was very strong and this outstanding price per carat result confirms market feedback that rough prices are increasing strongly.
