Kalyan Jewellers launches showrooms in Adyar and Chrompet

The company now has the largest distribution network across Tamil Nadu with 18 large format showrooms and 150 mini diamond stores.

Scores of delighted Chennaiites made their way to witness the launch of Kalyan Jewellers’ second and third showrooms in the city today. Kalyan Jewellers brand ambassadors and much-loved stars Prabhu Ganesan and Nagarjuna inaugurated the new showrooms in Adyar and Chrompet, giving Chennai two dazzling new reasons to go jewellery shopping.

The stars launched the 10,000 sq. feet Adyar showroom first, from where they made their way to inaugurate the 20,000 sq. feet store in Chrompet. Both locations witnessed massive turnouts, and the two celebrities, who are among South India’s biggest stars, regaled crowds to thunderous applause and cheer.

Waving at the crowd in that had gathered at Chrompet, Prabhu Ganesansaid, “I am very proud of my association with Kalyan Jewellers family and I can vouch for the fact that they live by their motto ‘Trust is everything’. After the launch of their flagship store in T Nagar, Kalyan Jewellers has been able to spread its wings to Adyar and Chrompet only because you have accepted them with open arms.”

At the Inauguration Nagarjuna said, “Namaskaram, Bagunnara Chennai? It is wonderful to be back here in my early home, especially for the launch of the third Kalyan Jewellers showroom. I am very proud of my long standing association with this brand, and happy to be inaugurating yet another showroom, with my dear friend Prabhu Ganesan. I wish Kalyan Jewellers the very best.”

In a short span of five months the company has already invested Rs. 350 crore for the 3 showrooms in Chennai. The showrooms offer Kalyan’s popular gold and diamond jewellery designs from across the country, drawing from Kalyan’s extensive network of artisans. The company now has the largest distribution network across Tamil Nadu with 18 large format showrooms and 150 mini diamond stores. Kalyan had made an emphatic entry into Chennai in April this year and offers the world’s largest gold and diamond jewellery collection at its showroom in T Nagar.

Tamil Nadu is the largest market outside of Kerala for Kalyan Jewellers. The company has made cumulative investments of Rs. 750 crore in the state and targeting to open 2 more showrooms at Vellachery and Anna Nagar by early next year.
