KRIZZ opens new factory near Chennai

The factory is spread over four acres of land

Chennai based jewellery manufacturer KRIZZ opened their new state of the art factory near Chennai on 9th May 2010. Joy Alukkas, Chairman of Joy Alukkas Group of Companies inaugurated the factory and Kishore Jain, Managing Director of Khazana Jewellery commenced the production. Among other dignitaries present were K Shivram, Vice President of World Gold Council, James Jose , Managing Director of Chemmanur gold refinery, Sankar Sen, Chairman of Senco Gold, Nitin Kadam of Kadam & Kadam, Ashok Minawala of Danabhai jewellers. In his speech, C Vinod Hayagriv, Managing Director of C. Krishniah Chetty & Sons and Chairman of the GJF said that the factory was one of its kind in India.

The factory has a built up area of 50,000 sq ft. and is spread over four-acres of land. The workforce comprises around 1100 people. The air-conditioned factory houses state of the art facilities, which are first of its kind in India and includes the latest generation casting machines, wet polishing system for worker’s safety, CHF plant for recycling of wastewater, RFID tags in wax pieces for consistent quality and weight and ceramic polishing system for hi-gloss surfaces. Most of the machines are imported from Italy. While the total production capacity is upto one ton of gold per month, currently the factory is producing 15 kilos of articles per day. Apart from producing casting jewellery, the company intends to manufacture chains, enamel colours, cut collection and diamond jewellery by the end of the year. The premises also house a dormitory, cafeteria, football field, temple, play area and garden area thereby becoming a small village by itself. While the first phase has been completed, there are five more different phases which could be developed in a short span of time.

With the launch of the new factory, the production levels have gone up. According to Chirag Batavia Marketing Director of Krizz, the company is taking all the efforts to make every product a master piece. The company has been participating in most of the exhibitions and people are aware what Krizz is. Krizz, as a brand and company, has been recognised both at home and abroad. Nonetheless, it is focusing on the Indian market first. Apart from the existing distributors across the nation, the company is looking for more good distributors and dealers in every city, who possess solid investment capacity and are desirous of growing along with the company.
