Joyalukkas launches platinum jewellery collection for Akshaya Trithiya

India’s pioneering Formula-1 racer Narain Karthikeyan and his mother celebrated their special bond at the Joyalukkas store in Chennai where Mrs Sheela Karthikeyan gifted her son a stylish precious platinum bracelet. The celebrations come close to the Hindu festival of Akshaya Trithiya approaching on May 13, 2013. Akshaya Trithiya is one of the three most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar and is the occasion when people buy gold to welcome prosperity into their lives.

At Joyalukkas, the mother-son duo also launched the retailer’s platinum jewellery collection for Akshaya Tritiya. The collection offers a men’s jewellery range of rings, bracelets and chains in contemporary designs and a women’s jewellery range featuring design suited to the tastes of today’s Indian women.

Speaking at the occasion Narain Karthikeyan said, “For me platinum jewellery is perfect as it is minimalistic, understated and elegant and this white metal has always attracted me for it has a distinct personality of its own.’ Mrs. Sheela Karthikeyan said, “Akshaya Trithiya is one of the most auspicious occasions to shower blessings and gift near and dear ones.
