Jewelers Vigilance Committee welcomes 12 new board members

The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), a not-for-profit legal trade association fulfilling its mission to maintain the jewelry industry’s highest ethical standards, held its annual luncheon event at the Waldorf Astoria which brought together industry members from every aspect of the jewelry industry and celebrated JVC's Elite Sponsors for their generosity at the event and throughout the year. JVC has welcomed 12 new board members to its Board of Directors. These new members include:

The new Officers elected for the coming term are:

Steven P. Kaiser of Kaiser Time as 1st Vice President
Scott Berg of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry as 2nd Vice President
Mark Goldberg of Rolex Watch Co. as Treasurer
Joel Schechter of Richline Group as Corporate Secretary

During the event, the Stanley Schechter Award was presented to Brad Brooks-Rubin, for his work as the Special Advisor for Conflict Diamonds while he was employed at the U.S. State department. He is currently of counsel to Holland & Hart LLP. The keynote speaker was former Assistant Secretary of State Jose Fernandez, currently a partner at the law firm of Gibson Dunn in New York City.

The JVC welcomes the new board members and looks forward to working with all of the board of directors over the next two years.
