Buyer, exhibitor enthusiasm and new segments at the show made the mood exciting
JCK Las Vegas draws optimism
The 23rd edition of the JCK Las Vegas show kicked off at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, with much optimism amongst buyers and exhibitors. The show saw a good turnout of buyers in its beginning, with new international buyers from China, Russia, India, and Mexico-JCK Las Vegas. The show will run through June 2nd.

JCK Las Vegas has a repute of gaining the maximum exhibitors of any Jewelry Week show, with more than 2,500 on site, with product offerings ranging from LUXURY, to fine, fashion, men's collections, and watches.

A major highlight of the first day was an exclusive presentation of De Beers' Perspectives on the Diamond Industry, featuring Philippe Mellier, CEO, De Beers Group; and Stephen Lussier, De Beers' Executive Vice President of Marketing and Forevermark CEO. IT drew over 300 buyers and professionals. This was the first US trade show appearance for Mr. Mellier. Also, the debut of JCK Shark Tank, a competition in which 6 industry-related technology providers competed for show attendees' votes, was also a new introduction to JCK Las Vegas. The winning company, Trac Tech was honoured for its inventory tracking technology utilizing RFID chips. Fashion Parades, Food Truck Alley were also new segments to the show.

The Diamond Plaza and Design Center, New Buyer program, sectioned layouts, JCK Mobile app, all added to the popularity of the show.

Exhibitors and buyers opined better response this year.
