IDI reimburses Israeli diamond companies
Israel import duty reduced by one third

According to reports, duty on the import of polished diamonds into Israel has been reduced from 0.2% to 0.135%. The Israel’s parliament has made this rule effective since January 1, 2007. Due to this, the Israeli Diamond Institute (IDI), which employs the diamond import tax proceeds into marketing, training and investment in research and development, has reimbursed the Israeli diamond firms.
