Israel diamond trade woos Japanese market

I D I recently held a seminar to discuss trade opportunities with Japan on November 28th in Tokyo according to reports. The seminar was organised in conjunction with the Tokyo Diamond Exchange (TDE), which comprises 50 diamond trading companies. Japan continues to be the second biggest market for diamond jewellery after the US.

The event featured Israel Diamond Exchange board member and honorary secretary Ilan Samuel as a main speaker. Also in attendance were representatives of five Israeli diamond companies situated in Japan.

The seminar aimed to expose the Japanese diamond trade to the opportunities for doing business with Israeli diamantaires. Among the Israeli companies represented were Schachter-Namdar, A. Schwartz, Brinks and Malca Amit.
