Israel diamond companies prepare huge participation for September HK show

The Israel Diamond Industry will be participating at the September Hong Kong Jdwellery & Gem Fair this year. Seeing Asia as one of its key markets, the participation is expected to be in big numbers. Around 90 Israel diamo.d companies will feature at the Israel Diamond Pavilion beibg organised by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies. Also, 20 additional companies will exhibit at variou locations at the show.

The Israel Diamond Pavilion will be located in the Asia World Expo. It will have an image bootb to inform visitors about the Israel Diamond Industry and help buyers through the pavilion. There is also an online mini site informing about the participating exhibitors and their location at the show. The IDI noted that there was high interest in participation , but a lack of space curtailed the number of participating companies leaving around 20 companies on waitlist.

At the show, IDI will sponsor the opening reception and will partner with Jewellery News Asia for the JNA awards. Such high participation by the IDI underlines the importance it places on Asian markets and the Fair is a key gateway to these markets as it falls close to the festive and wedding season. The IDI sees Asian markets led by Hong Kong as its most imprtant growth area for Israel Diamonds. Hong Kong today is Israel's second largest market for polished diamonds after the US representing around 30 percent of Israel's total polished diamond exports.
