The International Tender Center was opened during the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI) by the IDE. The Centre is established by the Israel Diamond Exchange to converge maximum polished and rough diamond tenders in Israel on a single platform. The centre is built in a specially designed state-of-the-art facility within the IDE complex, affording optimal convenience and security, as per reports.

At the opening ceremony, IDE President Yoram Dvash said, “Our diamantaires participate in diamond tenders abroad, which naturally incurs costs. Starting today, the new center allows bourse members to enjoy direct access to leading international diamond suppliers while saving on travel, accommodation and insurance costs. This morning, we received some happy news from Okavango saying they’ll be holding rough tenders here, and I’m very glad for that”.

Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov praised the centre and said he looked forward to holding rough and polish tenders in this new center.

Dvash, Zharkov and IDI Chairman Shmuel Schnitzer cut the ribbon of the centre. Deputy Minister of Finance Yitzhak Cohen affixed the mezuzah on the entrance to the new International Trade Center, as per reports.
