India’s pink city – Jaipur, also a leading global centre for gemstone jewellery, is going to host the debut edition of International Colored Gemstone Mines to Market Conference, organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC) between 2-3 November, 2011.
Based on the Council's existing initiative of International Diamond Conference held last year, Mines to Market for Colored Gemstone aims at reinforcing India's position as the global hub for colored Gemstones. The platform will invite experts from various countries, who will address the present state of the global gemstone industry and evolve a way forward, with each country presenting a paper on the future plans, panel discussions, interact, discuss and exchange views on issues and concerns and forge a common way forward.
The GJEPC had introduced the ‘Mines to Market’ initiative, as a voice for the Indian gem and jewellery industry to establish and maintain the Global Brand positioning of India. The Council has finalized some speakers for the International Colored Gemstone Mines to Market Conference, to speak on topics like mining & geology, enhancements, treatments and other researches to branding & marketing, logistic & finance among others.
