GJEPC is organizing India Pavilion to further strengthen business networking with Antwerp’s diamond industry
India Pavilion to debut at Carat+

A group of five leading Indian companies will be participating at the Carat+ at Antwerp, Belgium. This is the first time that GJEPC is organising an India Pavilion at the event slated from 7th to 9th May 2017.

Exhibitors at the India Pavilion spread over a significant 72 sq. mts, will showcase exquisite craftsmanship and jewellery collections comprising of high-end fine diamond jewellery.

CARAT+ is dedicated to showcase diamonds in all its glory, filling a gap in the international trade show arena. All elements of the diamond category will be present. Exhibitors from more than 10 countries will showcase their goods at the show this year.

GJEPC chairman, Praveenshankar Pandya said, “Antwerp is the significant trading center in the world diamond market. One can expect significant buyer & sellers to be present at CARAT+. This is one event we can’t afford to miss, and have taken this opportunity to bring exporters here to help them build their network with this industry and improve business. GJEPC is organizing India Pavilion in association with Artexis-Easyfairs at CARAT+.”

India's gem and jewellery industry is a leading sector of the country’s economy, and one of the important foundations of the country's export-led growth. A major contributor to the creditable performance of the industry is the massive diamond manufacturing sector, which employs nearly one million people across the country. In the year ending 2016, India exported a staggering USD 3156.96 million out of which cut and polished diamonds contribute an overwhelming USD 1985.19 million.

The Indian companies to participate at the show include Arihant Star, Core Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., Janam Corporation Pvt. Ltd., P. Hirani, Veer Gems along with GJEPC.
