IIGJ announces courses for the jewellery enthusiast

Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) has announced its set of restructured courses in gem and jewellery education, to meet the demand of the industry and skills required. IIGJ is a project of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, governed by a duly constituted Board of Directors as well as a Board of Advisers from the jewellery industry. The institute is committed to imparting a high level of education and training to enhance the product quality of Indian jewellery and expand its scope in the domestic and international jewellery markets. The institute offers both full time and part time courses.

The courses are more intensive and comprehensive. There is an option of full Time and part time courses for freshers and candidates looking to enhancing their skills while continuing their career in sync with the industry.

The courses include: 3 yrs diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacturing Techniques / 3yrs Diploma in Jewellery Technology & Management aimed to train the students to become future leaders/managers in the global jewellery market. It covers all the aspects of the jewellery from concept to marketing. There is also a 540 hours Professional certification Courses with three courses in this including CAD/CAM Techniques, Jewellery Design and Manufacturing Techniques. The 180hrs Certification Courses are designed for Merchandising, Diamond Grading and CAD – Matrix. The 80hrs Certification Courses for Part Time has tutorials in CAD-Rhino, CAD-Matrix and Designing.
