The event, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will run from November 18 to 22 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
In addition to verbal consultations on diamond jewelry, visitors to the IGI booth (EH 29) at the show can also avail themselves of information on professional courses offered by IGI’s School of Gemology. The Institute offers globally recognized programs for diamond and jewelry industry professionals and aspiring jewelry designers, as well as discerning consumers wishing to know more about diamonds so they can make gem and jewelry purchases with absolute confidence.IGI's worldwide schools offer an unrivaled range of coursework, covering everything from rough diamond grading to gemstones, pearls, modern treatments and computer-assisted jewelry design, among many other topics.
IGI, in association with the Directorate of Precious Metals & Gemstone Testing at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has successfully organized an intensive jewelry designing program in the country.Nico D'Haemer, the managing director of IGI Dubai, said, “We decided to set up the mobile laboratory at Jewellery Arabia in order to create more awareness among consumers about the importance of certification when purchasing diamond jewelry. We can give an approximate verbal grade for any diamond-studded jewelry, while visitors who wish to submit their pieces for testing at our laboratory will receive a 15 percent discount on jewelry certification at IGI DMCC. This will enable them to make more informed decisions when purchasing diamond jewelry in the future.”
IGI certificates provide confidence to consumers and retailers, as they are an endorsement of the authenticity of the gem or piece of jewelry; they offer reliable and accurate statements of the item’s identity and grade, based on an internationally recognized system. Certificates issued by IGI are valid worldwide and are accepted as a passport for the gem or piece of jewelry.
D’Haemer added, “For those who want to learn more about diamond grading, either for their personal or professional interests, we have a range of programs focused on various facets of diamond grading and jewelry design. Our course instructors employ a practical, hands-on approach. Each interactive and hands-on class is designed to provide the knowledge and expertise required for your IGI Diploma, without requiring an extended leave-of-absence from your professional or personal commitments."
